Justin is currently head of business development for Tunestars, a Canadian mobile startup building the ultimate social music app for millennial audiences, artists and the new music business.
Recently, Justin served as the first Canadian managing director for Deezer, the global streaming music service based in Paris, France.
Beginning his career at MuchMusic.com in Toronto, he managed editorial and digital content for the MuchMusic Video Awards, Virgin Festival and the first MuchMusic VJ Search TV series. He subsequently served as head of Interactive Production and Emerging Technology for Canada’s largest record label Universal Music Canada, leading the team that built the first iPad app inside UMG, and he ran digital marketing for Lady Gaga’s debut album The Fame and Protest The Hero’s #1 album Fortress.
He has spoken at Canadian Music Week, Queens Business School, NXNE and Musexpo Los Angeles; is a proud juror for MuchFACT; is a member of the Toronto Music Advisory Council; and is a mentor for the Canadian Film Centre Media Lab's ideaBOOST startup accelerator program.
