Vancouver, BC, Canada
Lana Gay is a host and content contributor on CBC Music. Her four hour radio show airs twice daily, at 5am and 5pm PT, on Sirius 152 and CBCMusic.ca. She hosts the weekly R3-30 podcast, showcasing the Top 30 Indie Canadian songs in the nation. Lana is fixated on independent music and also enjoys writing and tweeting about oddities, technology, food culture and anything to do with Dolly Parton. She got her start in radio at 102.1 the Edge in Toronto, then traveled west to become Indie Music Director at Vancouver’s 99.3 The Fox and joined CBC Radio 3 in 2007.
Lana is proud to hail from Leamington, Ontario where she was raised on Motown music and Hungarian food (an underrated combo, really.) She won the ‘Most Likely to Save the World Award’ in high school and knows the value of a cold beer, an old record and a sassy pair of boots. Once, she tried to chase a rainbow and ended up in Blenheim, Ontario.
