Social and digital media have an increasingly strong influence on how people consume content of all types – especially in the world of Television. Each night, more and more viewers are turning on the TV at the same time that they create a new tweet or post on Facebook. TV is not only allowing, but actually encouraging viewers to share their viewing experience and drive the programming. New TVs allow viewers to simultaneously watch their show, see social streams, check @replies, browse the web, and use the TV remote to comment and engage.
